The summer concert series at Goodwill Park concluded on Tuesday evening with a performance by the Brad Ellenberg Quintet. They entertained the crowd with a collection of jazz music, most of which was composed by Brad Ellenberg and other band members.

Ellenberg, who plays the guitar, originally formed the band in 1993 while working towards his Masters at the New England Conservatory of Music, and the current members of the band have been together for nearly a decade.

A good crowd was on hand to enjoy the show.

Along with Ellenberg, the group includes Garry Bohan, who plays the trumpet, Mario Cerra, playing the saxophone, Grant Smith on drums, Lisa Marcus Jones on vocals, and Andy Blickenderfer filling in playing the bass.

Although all the members of the band are from the greater Boston area, Tuesday was the first time that they played in Holliston. Ellenberg said that the band plays at a lot of summer concerts like the one at Goodwill Park, along with clubs and restaurants throughout the year.

The Quintet currently has two albums out; Return Engagement and Rendezvous, and Ellenberg said that they plan on releasing a third album later this summer.

This was the fourth and final concert in this year’s summer concert series. The previous concerts featured performances by Second Story, The Infractions, and Ben Rudnick and Friends. The concerts were organized by the Holliston Parks Commission, and were supported by grants from the Holliston Newcomers Club.
