Veterans Invited to Dinner

by Bobby Blair
October 23, 2017

In what now has become an annual tradition, the town's 600 veterans are invited to dinner on Saturday November 11th. The day's event kicks off with a rifle salute at 10:30 am at Blair Square and a short march up Central Street to Memorial Square at Washington and Hollis Streets. Those unable to march are asked to gather at town hall at 10:45 am. A rifle salute and taps to Holliston's fallen in WWI & WWII will be rendered before a short service at town hall at 11 am. A photo-op will then take place on town hall steps.

Veterans will then adjourn to upper town hall for a catered dinner. The dinner is sponsored by  American Legion Post 47, VFW Post 8507, and the Holliston Lion's Club. Any new veteran to town or anyone who did not receive an invite and who wishes to attend may contact Bobby Blair at mudvillemayor@gmail.com or 508-429-6763. The dinner is free.
