Holiday Dreams Collecting for the Needy

by Press Release
November 19, 2017

It's Holiday Dreams time! Fall is flying by, and the holidays will be here before we know it.  Time to start thinking about giving gifts --and giving back. With your help, we can give so many needy children the joy of getting just what they wish for this holiday season.

As many of you know, for the past 11 years, our family has sponsored a gift drive to support JFS Metrowest, the Woodrow Wilson School in Framingham, the Holliston, Needham and Brighton public schools, Youth and Family Services, and DSS in Massachusetts.  Last year our Holiday Dreams program supported 825 children. Let's bring that number up to 1,000 this year! What a difference we could make in the lives of so many kids and families.

Getting involved is really easy: simply let us know how many children you’d like to sponsor (you can take on an entire family or individual kids). We will then send you the children’s wish lists. After that, you can either shop for the kids yourself or donate money, and our shoppers will do it for you. We very much appreciate people shopping for the kids they sponsor, but we are also incredibly grateful for monetary donations to help us take care of every child. You can donate money directly by clicking on this link: www.holidaydreamsfoundation.com  FYI, and because we get asked this question a lot, it costs about $100 to sponsor each child.

Shopping for a child or children in need truly is one of the most rewarding experiences. And once you've bought the gifts, you don't even have to wrap them! The parents of the kids we’re sponsoring actually wrap all of the gifts with paper that we provide. (This gives them a chance to see what their children are receiving.) As far as timing, we would be looking to collect everything no later than December 19.

But wait ... there's more!  We are officially a 501c3 charitable organization, so everything you donate is completely tax deductible! It's a real win/win: You get the incredible feeling of making a child's holiday wishes come true and the benefit of a tax deduction.

Please let us know if you’d like to be a part of our holiday magic -- again or for the first time. For those of you new to the Holiday Dreams gift drive, if you’d like to participate, please email us back or call ((949)689-3011). If not, of course, that's fine too. Many of you have asked, so we are sending out this information to provide our family and friends with an easy way to impact many needy kids and families this holiday season.

Gift-giving doesn’t get much more rewarding than this. We know it will be one of the most joyful and fulfilling experiences you ever have. You are making a real difference!

Looking forward to another amazing, and truly life-changing, holiday season!

Happy Holidays,

Leslie and Jonathan
