Like Humpty Dumpty, Gooch's Corner Gazebo Back Together Again

by Bobby Blair
April 25, 2018

It didn't take all the king's horses and all the king's men, but rather a few able-bodied men, Saturday morning, to put the roof panels back on the gazebo at Gooch's corner. The gazebo, donated by the Downtown Marigold Project a number of years ago, has fallen apart once before from heavy snow. Greg Lewis, upon receiving a donation request from Holliston in Bloom, decided instead of a monetary donation his skills as a carpenter would be better served in fixing the gazebo which in its disrepair was an eyesore.

Above, Dave Boudreau, assists Lewis, which will make Holliston in Bloom member Bea Hait a happy camper. Hait, a Queens resident, has adopted the plantings at Gooch's Corner during the growing season.

Thank you Gegg Lewis for putting Holliston's Humpty Dumpty back together again.

On Monday, January 7th, the Holliston Public Library hosted a Meet the Author session with local writer, Ted Reinstein, who 'edu-tained' (educational and entertaining - not always easy to do) the audience about his most recent book, "New England's General Stores.' The fact that Ted lives in Holliston made it possible for his co-author, and wife Ann Marie to join the fun.
