Garden Club Tour - Part 1

by Paul Saulnier
June 10, 2018

Saturday, June 9, 2018. I visited four of the nine gardens, all of them spectacular.

The Historical Society grounds on Washington Street was my first stop.

Garden Club tour guide is Karen Pinkham, above left, with visitor Ellen of Natick (formerly of Holliston). Members of the Garden Club pitched in to help society members prepare the gardens for the tour.

Just down Washington Street is the home of Barbara Briggs, above right, with Jana Milbocker, my second stop on the tour. "Spectacular" doesn't do these gardens justice.

Bob Beauchemin was my guide through Joan Butler's garden oasis on Bayberry.

Joan is proud of her more than 300 varieties of Hostas, including "Cup of Grace" pictured below.

A couple of cool cats welcomed visitors to the gardens of Kathy Shore on Cassandra Lane. Jill Malcolm, above left, and Tristan Nashik, current president of the garden club.

I heard babies chirping in the bird house above.

The Shores know how to dress up a back yard.

The tour continues today, starting at Noon until 4PM
