The Friends of Holliston Trails with support from Celebrate Holliston, the VFW and the American Legion, completed the grand opening of the rail trail on July 4, 2017 with a spectacular light show.

The Friends of the Holliston Trails with support from Celebrate Holliston, the VFW and the American Legion, completed the grand opening of the rail trail on July 4, 2018 with a spectacular light show.

Woodland Street was closed to traffic as about 1,000 people set up chairs in the street to watch the light show. The lights were shown on the bridge and in the air above the crowd with the use of fog machines so that viewers were actually inside the show. In many ways this light show was better than fireworks.

I loved it! A big thank you to all who had a hand in making this such a great event and to Holliston Reporter for taking and posting the video so even more people can enjoy the laser light show or enjoy it again! The whole evening honoring the rail trail and bridge committees--official and supporting--showed yet again what a wonderful Holliston community of volunteers we have. Thank you all.
