Mr. Patrick H. Clapham, 41 of Danvers, beloved husband of Rebecca Harper passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Beverly Hospital with his family by his side.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Charles H. Clapham III and Kristen Johnson. Raised and educated in Brookline, he attended Brookline Public Schools and was a graduate of Brookline High School. He attended Boston College and continued his education at Massachusetts College of Art, earning his Associates Degree at Greenfield Community College, his Bachelors Degree at the University of Massachusetts in Comparative Literature and his Masters at Salem State University in English with a certificate in Digital Humanities.

Patrick had been employed for many years at Trader Joe's in Peabody and loved his Trader Joe's family. Most recently he had worked at the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers as an Assistant Librarian, an occupation he cherished in a facility he loved so deeply.

Patrick truly had a thirst for knowledge and was very intelligent, skillful and creative. He loved to read and learn new things and had an incredible book collection within his home. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family, playing role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons, as well as playing Magic The Gathering. He was a skillful artist and was meticulous with his craftsmanship. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and many devoted friends.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Rebecca Harper of Danvers, his mother, Kristen Johnson and her long-time partner Elliakim Simpson of Rowe, MA, his father, Charles H. Clapham III and his wife Constance Wise of Holliston, MA, his sisters, Sarah L. Clapham and her husband Justin Lampka of Roslindale, MA, Sarah E. Wise of Knoxville, TN, Caitlin Clapham and her husband Juanca Jimenez of Vinalhaven, ME, Anna Clapham of Holliston, MA his brother, Michel Clapham of Los Angeles, CA and his 2 beloved nephews, Jude Lampka and Johnathan Jimenez.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patrick's Celebration of Life which will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers on Saturday, February 16th at 1 P.M. With reception to follow at The Peabody Institute of Danvers. In lieu of flowers, Patrick's family has asked for donations to be sent to the Peabody Institute Library c/o Patrick Clapham Fund, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
