Holliston Trails Committee Meets

by Chris Cain
April 29, 2019

Cherie Hafford presented samples of interpretive signs that will be posted along the Upper Charles Rail Trail.  The content for the signs was provided by Mary Greendale.  Next step is to see samples of the content printed as sturdy signs before making the final selection.

Dates were set for the committee to: identify additional locations for memorial benches along the trail, improve the drainage at Phipps tunnel, and waterproof the roof of the committee's storage container.

Down the road (literally and figuratively), plans have been drawn up to build a handicap accessible ramp from the Park & Rec parking area to the rail trail.

Ed Daniels, representing the Friends of Holliston Trails, alerted the group to the annual 5K fund-raiser.  This year the event will be held on Sunday, June 9th.  Start prepping soon!
