Exchange Street Bridge Claims Another Victim

by Bobby Blair
June 28, 2019

Emergency responders were called to Exchange Street Friday afternoon at 515 pm for a report of a truck striking the Exchange Street Bridge.

The young male driver was uninjuried in the accident. The impact below peeled the top of the box truck away like a can of sardines. Hometown Auto took care of the removal.

However, Outpost Farm truck couldn't even do it once ... at least no one was hurt. Somebody's probably going to have anew nickname at work, though.

Every now and then this happens. It might be a good idea to post signs saying no trucks allowed. There are enough streets all around the bridge area that lead to downtown etc. Goodwill Shoe Co. trucks did it forever. Thanks.
