Holliston In Bloom's Second Floral Display Award

by Paul Saulnier
July 11, 2019

Marie Elena Rich stands next to one of her two potted Mandevilla plants which frame the entrance to her home on Westfield Drive in Holliston.

Mature plantings define Marie's lanscaping which she and her husband develpoed over the 51 years of living there. "Jack did the planting and I did the maintenance", Marie said (in her spare time while raising three children.)

Although the lots are relatively small in the Queens, Marie's landscaping blocks out the neighboring residences and creates a warm and private environment in the back yard.

Marie said the her favorite plants are her peonies which are scattered throughout the property.

Congratulations, Marie, on earning your Bloom Award from Holliston in Bloom. Thanks for helping to make Holliston a beautiful place to live.
