Police Log for Week of July 28 - August 3, 2019

by Paul Saulnier
August 6, 2019

The carnival may have left one of its trained animals behind and someone lost a Shiba Inu. Is that animal, vegetable or mineral?

July 28, 2019:

Disturbance with arrest, Cedar; Holliston resident on a warrant.

Check prisoner.

Animal incident, Turner; complaint of a barking dog. QOA (quiet on arrival).

Suspicious activity, 414 Washington; suspicious bag next to ATM. Determiined to be bag of trash (no cash either).

Crash with arrest, Washington & Highland; Franklin versus Milford; OUI- liquor (3rd offense) and failure to stop.

Check prisoners.

July 29:

Fraud, 777 Washington; two $20s, possibly counterfeit.

Vehicle stop with summons; 1274 Highland; Milford resident. No details.

Crash, Pond View; Newton resident forgot to put his car in PARK in a driveway. It ended up in the neighbor's yard, causing some damage.

Fraud, Dunks; one $5 counterfeit. Video surveillance has license plate (that's not enough to buy a cup of coffee and a donut).

Crash, Washington & Summer; two from Holliston. Possible injuries.

Erratic driver arrested, Woodland; Providence resident for marked lanes violation, license not in possession, refusing to identify himself and resisting arrest.

Check prisoner.

K 9 training, 260 Hopping Brook Park; article/evidence training.

July 30:

Check prisoner.

Crash, Washington & Whitney; South Grafton versus Blackburg, VA. Hometown Auto called.

First citation of the week went to Locust Street resident, followed by 11 more (nice goin').

K 9 training, HPD

July 31:

Animal incident, Spywood; a white Shiba Inu missing since Monday (any chance it looks like a jaguar?)

Smoke & fire, Applewood; branch on power lines (possibly applewood?)

August 1:

Crash, 1700 Washington; Peabody versus Uxbridge.

Crash, 400 Washington; Framingham versus Ashland.

Animal incident, North Mill; report of a jaguar near the swamp (can't be - jaguars don't like water. Must have been a leopard)

K 9 training, 201 Summer; tracking.

August 2:

Crash, Woodland & Lowland; two Hollistonians wish they had never met.

August 3:

Crash, Dunster; Dorchester resident turned his car into a brush hog and wiped out a bush on the side of the road.

Animal incident, Gorwin; complaint of dog barking for over 2 hours (and still no laryngitis). QOA

During the reporting period, 20 citations and 19 warnings were issued. Seven erratic drivers were reported and Dispatchers logged 408 calls.

Very busy week. I saw many people being stopped. I was curious about a shib inu looked it up IT IS THE CUTEST DAM DOG IN THE WORLD. I hope it came home. When are people going to learn NEVER LET YOUR DOG OFF LEASH out doors. OH! yes that last picture. That dog could drive my car anytime it looked more alert then most people.
