Barrett to Byrant

Barrett to Bryant

Ryan Barrett joining brother Andrew with Byrant's Bulldogs

Pictured is Holliston Head Football Coach Todd Kiley, John, Allie and Ryan.

Ryan is pictured 'signing' his official National Letter of Intent to Bryant University for the Fall of 2011. He is being recruited as a Tight End and Long Snapper.

Ryan is a 6' 5", 220 lb, Senior. He was a three year varsity starter, one of four captains of this year's State Championship Team.

Ryan was selected to participate in this year's Shriner's all-star game also being held at Gillette Stadium in June along with teammates Sean Mayo and Ethan Rayner.

Ryan is the second-oldest of five boys of John and Allie Barrett. He will be joining his older brother Andrew, a 2009 HHS graduate, FB Tri-Captain, currently a red-shirt sophmore Offensive Tackle for the Bryant Bulldogs. Andrew also participated in the 2009 Shriner's Football Classic.

Ryan credits much of the strides he's made athletically to Liane Blyn of Athletic Based Training here in Holliston.

But between the lines, he attributes most of his success to his teammates and an incredibly dedicated coaching staff.

Ryan will take the field from now on wearing Black & Gold on the outside... but no doubt, like his brother, will have a Holliston Football t-shirt  underneath near his heart.

Ryan - congratulations on the signing with Bryant. I am a Class of '93 Alum and had a great 4 years as a student-athlete there. There is a lot more offered to athletes now on campus, but more importantly a great education!
