The Class of 2011 held their Baccalaureate at Temple Beth Torah on June 2, 2011
Class President Brittany Burke welcomed all to the Baccalaureate Service and introduced Act ll Chorus and Soorp,Soorp (Holy, Holy)


Rabbi Earl Kideckel led the Invocation with a remembrance of Fr. Haley, who died earlier in May and was the pastor of St. Mary's for 35 years.

Hannah Fried Tanzer and Sam Wolpert presented the First Reading, Deuteronomy 30.11-14 and Genesis 13.14-17

Soul Shine was next on the program with Melissa Bennie and John Georgallas.

The second reading, Ephesians 6,10-17 were offered by Danielle Kerrigan and Mike Sabounjian

Reverand Jerome Janisko, pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church was scheduled to present the address of the evening, but due to ill health, he asked Father Mark Coiro of St. Mary's to be his substitute. Fr Mark commented that Rev. Janisko has been at Christ the King for 43 years and is retiring in a few months, and he has missed only two Baccalaaureate Services in all that time. That is commendable. Fr. Mark stressed that it is very important to keep all horizons open in the future and open to God's plan, which may not be the same as you envision at this time.

Meredith Dowd sang Change is Gonna Come, accompanied by Kendra Costello on key board.

Andy Mysliwiec led the Class Prayer.

The Parents Prayer was recited by Kim Bedard and Virginia Beebe

Blessings by Holliston Clergy: Rev. Nancy Risty of Christ the King; Rev. Scott Foster, First Baptist Church; Rev. Mark Coiro, St., Mary's; Rev. Christine Whittaker, St. Michael's Episcopal Church; Rev. Krikor Sabounjian, Armenian Churh of the Holy Translators; and Rabbi Earl Kideckel, Temple Beth Torah concluded the service.


The students and their families adjourned for refreshments and conversation.
