Miller Playground Project Inches Toward Goal

Over 100 children gathered last Friday to support the Miller Playground Project. Elite Gymnastics in Ashland hosted an Open Gymnastics event from which 100% of the proceeds went directly to the project. Children ages 2-10 participated in everything gymnastics - from swinging on the bars to jumping on trampolines. Elite staff and coaches guided the 1.5 hour station-style event.

The event brought over $1200 to the project. Elite Gymnastics did not take any of the funds to cover costs, and also donated the snacks that were provided at break time.

Representatives from TD Bank's Holliston branch were present to gain awareness for the Affinity Program. Affinity "gives back" to local communities by partnering with TD Bankers. Those who wish to help the Miller Playground Project can ask for their TD account to be coded to Holliston PTSA. Information can be found at your local branch.

The Miller Playground Project is gaining momentum after hosting the Harlem Wizards event last month and Open Gymnastics last week. Currently, committee members are asking supporters to vote to receive a grant from Clorox at http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/ .
