Those in need of a Thanksgiving turkey dinner showing huge increase...

While the economy seems to be at a stand still and not getting worse, if figures at the Holliston Pantry Shelf are any indication, things may not be getting any better either.
According to Sylvia Stickney at the Pantry, the number of families requesting a Thanksgiving Basket complete with turkey and all the fixings has increased by 32 this year. Three years ago the Pantry gave out 48 baskets; in 2010 - 68 baskets. This years requests add up to 102.
According to Julie Damigella of the Newcomers Club who have donated the baskets for countless number of years, the real number of baskets is 128. 102 are delivered to the Pantry Shelf, while the other 26 are delivered directly to homes in town rather than being picked up at the Water Street Pantry.
Damigella told the HollistonReporter.com that the Newcomers had some money left over from last year's project and that townspeople have been very generous this year.
