C & R Hot Dogs was a very popular lunch spot on Tuesday for family, faculty, students and friends supporting Doug Lack and his future kidney transplant.

C & R offered to contribute a percentage of every lunch special purchased on Tuesday to the special fund established to help Doug with his upcoming medical expenses. Doug is a very popular art teacher at Holliston High School and the students arrived in great numbers at C & R to show their support.

The collage above shows a smattering of the students who came to support the cause.

Keith Buday, Business Administrator and Sandra Einsel, Director of Student Services were among the faculty and staff who came for lunch too.

The parents of Doug, Sam Lack his dad and mother Beverly Berig from Medway were at the C & R with Doug's aunt Ann Haletky of Franklin.

John Paltineri of Fiske's General Store came for lunch too, and he is matching dolllar for dollar the amount raised at C & R in this fundraiser for Doug. He hopes other town businesses and organizations will follow his example.

l-r Dan Larracey, Patrick Pucillo and Michael Reid were among the student supporters. Patrick is a student of Mr. Lack.

Four more students enjoyed hot dogs too, l-r Zack Porter, Jay Marcoaldi, Michael Regan and Jinny Pollinger.

In addition to the donation from the sale hot dog, there was a jug on the counter to collect additional donations, that appeared to be doing quite well too.

In addition to the fund raiser today, Freshman Joey Pagano is organizing and directing an Art Gala at the high school on January 21st, which will feature art exhibits and auction, crafts for kids, a bake sale and music by students. Mark your calendar now and support Doug Lack at this event.

The servers and organizers of this fundrasier are l-r, Theresa Lamkin and Carl Damigella regularl servers at C & R, and extra volunteer help for the day, Theresa Campbell and Michelle Tate. Carl, the C of the C & R a recipient of kidney in 2006 knows all too well what Doug will experience.
