Moving On, Up and Out
by Bobby Blair 12/20/11
One business has closed and another is moving out by the first of the year.

The Holliston Wine and Spirits Store suddenly shuttered its doors sometime last week. Apparently the owner is ill.

But when the Holliston Wine and Spirits sign is removed from this marque above, down will be coming the Thrifty Interior sign as well.

Meghan Ford (above) owner of Thrifty Interiors told the HollistonReporter.com that her lease for the ensuing year has not been renewed by the building's owner. Ford said she has seen the plans by the building's owner who would like to enlarge the plaza by building up one story. "I believe we're standing in the new atrium where the elevator will be located," Ford said in a short interview. Ford said she has found a place in-town for her popular used furniture store but had not yet signed a lease.

Warren Chamberlain of the town's Planning Board said that he was aware of future plans at 90-100 Central Street and some information had been delievered to Town Hall, but no formal plans had been received by the Planning Board. As the Holliston Reporter learns more, we'll let our readers know.
