Thrifty Interiors Moves to East Holliston
by Bobby Blair 1/3/12
After 22 months at the Hollis Plaza, Thrifty Interiors moves to the historic Wilder Pump Shop in East Holliston.

Thrifty Interiors which was located at the Hollis Plaza on Central Street joined Holliston Wine and Spirits over the weekend in vacating their store fronts. The package store closed down almost two weeks ago. Due to an anticipated renovation at the plaza, several shops are relocating and expanding.

Owner of Thrifty Interiors Meeghan (Ford) Larrivee had already been looking within town for a larger building for her popular consignment shop when her lease was not renewed for 2012. Larrivee was able to find more space in the vacant S. Wilder Shop in East Holliston. S. Wilder Company dates back to 1839 and made pumps. Those pumps were handmade and can still be found world wide. The pumps were manufactured right up until 1959.

On the day of my visit Larrivee was awaiting a call from Verizon to install a new phone. Larrivee's cell phone then rang with a call from Ross Tompkins at Star Sign. In the flux of calls and upended furniture, Larrivee told the HollistonReporter.com that the hard part of relocation was done and she looked forward to putting her new shop back together.

Thrifty Interiors plans to open its new door by January 15th.
