More Thefts in the Bullard Neighborhood

by Bill Tobin 2/23/12

February 23, 2012. Signs in oppostion to the proposed Bullard Farm Solar panels on Bulllard Street mysteriously vanished in the wee hours of the night, last night, for the fourth time.

Residents in the neighborhood of the proposed solar site of the Bullard property on Bullard Street have experienced thievery over the five weeks.

Residents in the neighborhood question the establishment of the solar project on this  designated scenic Bullard Street by the Bullard Farm Association and have expresed their objections with signs. There is no apparent monetary value. Town officials did not remove the signs, and the police have been notified of the apparent theft.

Above are the trees on scenic Bullard Street that are designated for removal if approved by the Planning Board.

We've discovered a large pile of yard signs--mostly political, but of every party and candidate--tossed to the bottom of the quarry in the woods near the golf course. I'll have to see if any anti-casino or anti-solar farm signs have appeared there recently.

Some anti-casino signs have gone missing, but as far as I know, most are still up (and more are on the way). Theft has been a possibility in some cases, but I think the wind has taken most of them. Not the case along Bullard Street.
