
Lions Present Award

The Holliston Lions Club recognizes fellow Lion for his dedication and service to the Lions and the community.
DIck Goguen was presented the Melvin Jones Fellow Award and Citations and Proclamation from state and town officials.
The Lions International recognizes outstanding individuals by bestowing on them the award that is named for its founder, Melvin Jones. This Fellowship Award is the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism.The recipient of this award becomes a model because of the exemplary service to his club and the community.
Holliston Lion Dick Goguen was presented this award at the January meeting of the club.
Lion John Paltrineri, a recipient of the award in 1996 and 2005 presented it to Dick.
Representative Carolyn Dykema honored Dick with a Citation from the Commonwealth of Masssachusetts House of Representatives
Senator Karen Spilka followed with a Citation from the State Senate recognizing Dick.
And representing the Holliston Board of Selectmen, Lion Kevin Conley read a Proclamation from the Town of Holliston "Whereasing" Dick's contributions to the Lions and other good works including his many years of military service.
The Board of Selectmen, Kevin Conley, Jay Marsden and Jay Leary expressed personal thanks to Dick Goguen and the Lions Club for their contribution to the town.
