Early Morning House Fire on Norfolk Street

Firefighters battled a smoky house fire just past 7:15 a.m. Saturday morning

Fire crews responded to a confirmed fire at 400 Norfolk Street just past dawn on Saturday morning.

All engines and the ladder truck responded and the fire was knocked down by 7:59 a.m.

There was no one living in the residence, which had been stripped of utilities by vandals. Norfolk Street which had been closed to traffic was reopened at 8:56 a.m.
