Shawn Moore Selected as New Lieutenant

By a unanimous vote of the Board of Selectmen Officer Shawn Moore has been promoted and appointed to the rank of Lieutenant of the Holliston Police Department. This vote and appointment followed a Lieutenant’s Screening Committee process in which Officer Moore ranked first, a Chief’s interview and evaluation in which Officer Moore ranked first, and a final interview before the Board of Selectmen at which he ranked first out of the candidates.

During his 27 year career with the Holliston Police Department Shawn Moore has been assigned, volunteered for, and successfully completed many administrative tasks for Chiefs of Police dating back to Chief William George in the early 1990s. These Chiefs, including Chief George, Chief James Peterson, and Chief Tom Lambert have all recommended Officer Moore for this promotion. He clearly has the complete skill set for the Lieutenant’s position, and the Holliston Police will become measurably better with his promotion to this position.

Shawn Moore displays the intellect, the stability, and the mindset to fill the Lieutenant’s shoes on day one without any learning curve involved in his executive development. We wish him much success in this new endeavor, and we trust the Holliston Police Department will be the recipient of his efforts going forward.
