William O. Horne At 80

William O. Horne, 80, of Holliston, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Bernadene (Raber) and George Horne. He was the husband of Janet E. (Fields) Horne of Holliston.

An Army Veteran, William was a Master Sergeant in the 11th Airborne serving the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/founder of Genesis Counseling Services, and was involved with the Massachusetts State Grange. William was one of the recipients of the 2011 Distinguished Citizen of the Year in the Metrowest News.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his four children, William J. Horne and his wife Marsha of Windsor, Ohio; Michael Horne and his wife Penny of Michigan; Matthew Horne and his wife Debbie of Colorado Springs; and Deborah Soeldner and her husband Mark of Wheaton, IL. He also leaves behind a brother James Horne of CT as well as ten grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Jennifer, Adam, Steven, Katie, Brandi, Cole, Jeffrey and David, as well as ten great-grandchildren. He was the son-in-law of Barbara Chamberlain of Holliston.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A service will take place in the funeral home on Friday at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mass State Grange Foster Care Fund, Attn: Randy Baill Jr., Secretary, 1018 Hillside Drive, Palmer, MA 01069-2178
