Thrifty Interiors sees increase in business after move...

Thrifty Interiors a consignment shop owned by townie Meghan (Ford) Larrivee opened its door in the former Wilder Building in East Holliston on January 15th after relocating from the Hollis Plaza on Central Street. Larrivee told the HollistonReporter.com that business couldn't be better.

"It's just been crazy on Saturdays and Sundays," Larrivee said, "and people ask if I'm the only one here."

"I've had people coming in and asking how long I've been here and how long I've been open. I really think the thousands of cars that go by the shop each day has really helped. The above chest of draws is priced at $95.

Thrifty Interiors works on a consignment basis with items being marked down 15% after 30 days and a further 15% after 60 days. If not sold in 90 days the items can be retrieved or are considered abandoned. Items are then donated to non-profit organizations.

While Larrivee is thrilled with additional floor space in her new shop, one quality problem has arisen during her extra busy weekends --- a lack of parking. Larrivee reminds customers that there is additional parking in the rear of the building. The above matching table $325 and hutch $375 can be purchased separately.

For those looking to invest in a piece of Holliston's recent history, Thrifty Interiors now has for sale Ma Rossini's candy counter from Walters Dairy.

While the candy counter may be better suited to find a home at the Holliston Historical Society, it is now up for grabs for the historically inclined. Sitting on top of the counter and sold separately is a metal "Walter's Dairy" ice cream tub.
So before you throw out furniture, knicknacks, glassware etc. bring those items down to Meghan at Thrifty Interiors and turn your junk into another man's treasure with cash in your own pocket.
