C & R Hot Dogs is Closing

by Bill Tobin 2/20/12

C & R Hot Dogs have announced that the popular spot is closing at the end of the month. February 29 is the final day.

The owners had a lot of fun serving great dogs and soup over the past 21 months.

C & R Hot Dogs on Washington Street is closing shop on February 29, 2012.

June 4, 2010 was the grand opening of C & R Hot Dogs, and 21 months later, February 29, 2012 is the final day to get a tasty dog. Carl said, "See you in four years."

Carl and Theresa agree that it has been a lot of fun and they will miss the public contact and sociability with the customers.

The customers will miss the variety of dressings on the dogs, and the tasty soups that were offered daily...

... and the dog tags awarded to the elite clientelle who met the challenge of eating 20 signature dog varieties.

The most interesting collection of Holliston based T shirts were on display. By the way, if you would like a T shirt from the collection, please contact Carl or Theresa.

C & R Hot Dogs will be missed. HollistonReporter.com wishes them well and a healthy future.

Carl and Theresa, your shop will be missed. In a short time it was becoming an institution. Best of luck and save me two with mustard and relish!

Sorry to hear your closing. We will miss your hot dogs. Just want to make it clear that was not me that made that first comment. I wish you both good luck and thanks for the dogs. Tom C.

The only reason it failed is because of its terrible location. If it was down by Table Top it would be thriving.
