Earl W. Herzog at 86, founding member of Christ the King Lutheran Church
Earl W. Herzog, 86, of Holliston, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Daniel and Sadie (Yoder) Herzog. He was the husband of the late Myrna (Dickerson) Herzog.
Earl was a founding member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Holliston. He worked for the FBI from 1940’s to early 1960’s. He later worked as a salesman throughout New England selling public safety communication equipment. He was a member of the Holliston Stompers, a square dance group, in the 1970’s.
He is survived by a son, Keith Herzog and his wife Suqun Luo of Lexington, and his former wife, Patricia B. Herzog of Ashland. He also leaves three grandchildren, Logan, Lianne, and Courtney. He is predeceased by two sisters, Mary Sweitzer and Dottie Diehl.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012, from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will take place on Saturday, at 10:00a.m. in Christ the King Lutheran Church with burial following at Lake Grove Cemetery.
