Meet the Champs

Holliston foursome are the top in the Millis Men's League...

The Glen Ellen Country Club in Milllis is the setting for the annual Millis Men's League golf tournament, consisting of 30 teams.  The Wednesday night Men's League has 16 teams of four men that begin the program in April. This has been a tradition at Glen Ellen for 35 years.  

The champions this year are Hollistonians: Charlie Russo, Peter Barbieri, Kevin Conley and Gregg Lewis. This illustrious foursome came in third in the League this year to compete in the final four rounds of play-offs.

The final play-off game was on Wednesday, September 26th against another foursome with two Holliston residents, one from Milford, one from Millis. These two foursomes played nine holes and ended with a tie.  That meant a sudden death playoff. Two holes later, the Holliston foursome became the Champs, winning by one point.

Quite a victory, congratulations to all...
