On Sunday, October 7, St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1162 Highland Street, Holliston will host The Blessing of the Animals, an annual tradition at St. Michael's on the Sunday closest to the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
Bring your fluffy, furry, feathered, or scaly friends to the altar during the 10:00 AM service for a blessing following Communion. All are Welcome! Visit our website at www.StMichaelsHolliston.org.
On Sunday, October 14th, at 1 p.m. Parishioners are invited to bring their pets to the Lower Church as we celebrate the Church’s Rite of the Blessing of Animals.
Each pet will receive an individual blessing as we ask God’s protection for our animal friends and remember that all living things are precious to Him. This blessing takes place in October as St. Francis of Assisi’s Feast Day is this month, and he had a special love of the furred, finned, and feathered creatures of the earth.
(Maybe there is a church out there that would host a blessing of the Democrats and the Republicans. Pub)
