Second Annual Tim's Trot 3K Race
The Second Annual 3K Tim's Trot to benefit the Timothy O'Connell Foundation had about twice as many runners as the first annual run.
Watch the runners crest the hill on Hollis Street in the video above.
Cool cloudy weather was perfect for the serious runners in the pack. The sponsors were proudly displayed on the banner at the registration table.
Ready, set, go.
The race started about 2:05 from the High School and proceeded up Hollis Street then down Hollis to Washington, right on Washington through downtown to Prospect and Marked Tree and into the school yard .
Chris Teague of Holliston was first to cross the finish line with a time of 11 minutes, 11 seconds.
Kerrie Verbeek, a sixth grader, was the first female to cross the line with a time of 14 minutes and 34 seconds.
Greg Moschella, above left, and Kevin Montain came in second and third overall. Kevin's father, Scott, below, came in fourth overall, less than a minute later.
Ed Daniels of MA Home Realty Executives, an event sponsor, is congratulated as he approaches the finish line.
Kevin O'Connell crossed the finish line with ease.
This young lady crossed in a very respectable 30 minutes and 20 seconds.
Several dogs ran the event, most slowed down by the person at the other end of the leash.
Theresa Campbell was well equipped with water and music.
The final participant crossed the line 45 minutes and 23 seconds after the start.
Max Athy, organizer of the event, was MC as well. Max thanked a long list of people who helped make the event possible...
...as Joanne and Kevin O'Connell looked on.
Overall winner Chris Teague accepts his trophy from Joanne.
Kerrie Verbeek takes home the womens' first place trophy.
