Serious Early Afternoon Collision

Two vehicles collided early Wednesday afternoon prior to 1 p.m. near WRS Automotive at 1682 Washington Street...

The above vehicle lay just off the westbound lane of Route 16 with the driver still inside.

A smaller sedan straddled the yellow no passing lines and the driver was outside the vehicle standing upright but was soon asked to sit in the rear passenger seat to await the ambulance.

As one  onlooker pointed out the irony on the lettering of the utility truck involved in the crash (above). Drivers of both vehicles were transported to local hospitals. It is unknown at this time if any passengers were involved. Officers Scott Downey and Sgt. Craig Denman investigated. Medway police assisted in handling traffic.
