Residents Re-up for America in Bloom

A one year hitch wasn't enough for some town residents ...

When the America in Bloom judges were feted to a huge welcome shindig this summer at the Historical Society on Washington Street, a huge rainbow showed for the occasion. Tuesday night as the town America in Bloom committee convened at the home of Mary Greendale on Roy Ave, Mother Nature signaled in yet another onerious gesture with an earthquake. Committee members took Mother Nature's signal in stride and voted to enter the America in Bloom Contest for the coming 2013 year. The group also offically named themselves as the "Holliston in Bloom" committee. The Holliston in Bloom committee (HIB) first fundraiser will take place during the Christmas Stroll.

HIB members are planning to serve Smores at the Rail Trail Park prior to and during the lighting of the gazebo and Christmas Tree. Donations for HIB will be accepted at that time.
