On Saturday, October 20, Holliston’s Pop Warner B-Squad Cheerleaders went to the annual Hockomock League competition and came home with a first place victory.

On Saturday, October 20, Holliston’s Pop Warner B-Squad Cheerleaders went to the annual Hockomock League competition and came home with a first place victory. We should all be proud of how these young girls represented Holliston.

This is a wonderful achievement for the Holliston Pop Warner program and a particularly fantastic accomplishment for this squad. The team is a mix of primarily sixth and seventh graders with only four girls from the eighth grade. Many of them had never picked up a pom-pom and are trying cheering for the first time.

But under the guidance and dedication of veteran cheer coaches Dianne Chester and Ellen Kennedy and with the unstoppable energy of two high school assistants - Anderson Mankus and Julia Rossini – the squad mastered a routine complete with stunts, dance, and precise coordination.
