Nancy Muther at 96, Newton High Grad of 1933

Nancy Muther, 96, of Holliston, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 after a lengthy stay at Mary Morse Nursing Home in Natick. She was born February 23,1916, Alice Nancy Newell in Newton and was the daughter of the late Carolyn Marie (Dolliver) and Harold P. Newell.

Nancy graduated from Newton HS in 1933 and attended Chamberlayne School of Design-Boston. She worked at RH Stearns, Boston and many years in the banking business, working for Framingham Trust, Guaranty-Trust and Cape Cod Bank.& Trust. She was resident of Needham, Sherborn, Holliston, and Dennis, MA. She was member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Framingham and a Past- President of the Holliston Women’s Club.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Edward "Ted" in 2001, and a daughter Alice in 1971. Nancy leaves three children, Peter of Holliston, Timothy and wife Barbara of Gretna,VA, and Dianne Burgess and husband Walter of Holliston. as well as six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
