Emergency responders responded to Smith Row at 11:20 a.m. when a dog attacked a woman ...

A woman was attacked by a neighborhood dog on Smith Row at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday morning. The woman's identity was not released.

The victim sought refuge in the office of Dr. Jim Pizza where she awaited EMT's and was transported to MetroWest Medical in Framingham. At 11:40 a.m. the Animal Control Officer had arrived on scene and was looking for Fido, whose dog house address is known.

Hopefully it wasn't a coyote. They are becoming more and more common in Holliston. Something should be done about them. I hope the women recovers without any permanent scarring.
